It may only be early Fall, but the ghosts and ghouls are in our midst. To get you ready for the spooky season, we’ve gathered everything we know about the upcoming Halloween 2022 attractions not worth missing. *cue Monster Mash*
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween
At Disney World, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween takes place on 37 select nights, from August 12 through October 31, 2022. From 7 p.m. to midnight, Magic Kingdom transforms into a haunted kingdom full of ghosts, monsters, and terrifyingly good treats. You may even catch the Headless Horseman riding his steed down Main Street or notorious Disney Villains scouring the park. But, don’t get your knickers in a twist! The Sanderson sisters will also be attending this night of frolic with their Hocus Pocus Villain Spell-tacular near Cinderella Castle. Tickets are on sale now, ranging from $109-$199.
Minnie’s Halloween Dine
Located in Hollywood Studios, Hollywood & Vine throws a Halloween party with none other than Minnie during the months of August to November. Not only will Minnie be in attendance but Mickey, Goofy, and Pluto will all be dressed in their best costumes. You’ll have all the time to get signatures, snap some photos and even take home some special souvenirs.
P.S. Buffet-style dining has returned! The buffet menu can be found here.
Oogie Boogie Bash
At Disney California Adventure Park, Oogie Boogie Bash brings the Halloween spirit on 23 select nights, from September 6 through October 31, 2022. Perfect for all ages, this limited-capacity event offers spook-tacular attractions, character sightings, and of course, trick-or-treating. This event also includes immersive experiences such as Frightfully Fun Parade and Mickey’s Trick or Treat show. Even better– Enjoy all this fun while in costume!
Important: Although this event is sold out for the upcoming season, you can get started planning for next year! Be sure to check here for costume guidelines.
Tricks…But Mostly Treats
Disney offers many ghoulish goodies and bubbly concoctions throughout their Halloween festivities. During Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween, you can indulge in frightfully delicious treats at the Not-So-Spooky Spectacular Dessert Party, including Pumpkin Cupcakes and Pistachio White Chocolate Crunch Bar. (Definitely photo-worthy!) If you head over to Main Street, you can get a pick-me-up at Cheshire Café, like the Cold Witches Brew coffee or grab a fresh Pain and Panic Hot Dog at Casey’s Corner.
P.S. During October, a few limited-edition novelty items like the Donald Candy Corn Sipper or Zero Popcorn Bucket will be popping up throughout both parks.
Halloween Horror Nights Orlando
Every year, Universal Studios hosts a terror-filled Halloween event for those who wish to get their scream on. From September 1 to October 31, 2022, this event consists of 10 haunted houses, 5 scare zones, 2 live shows, and plenty of horrors. As usual, it’s hush-hush about most of the haunted house themes but that just makes for even more excitement. Tickets are available now, ranging from $73.99 to $104.99.
Before You Go: This event is not recommended for children under the age of 13.
Halloween Horror Nights Hollywood
Just like our friends in Florida, Universal Studios Hollywood joins in on the holiday fun with Halloween Horror Nights Hollywood. From September 8 through October 31, 2022, this event includes 8 haunted houses, the Tower Tram, scare zones, and a live show. While we don’t know all the haunted house themes just yet, more reveals will be released leading up to this highly anticipated season for screams.
From Disney Halloween 2022 to Universal Halloween Horror Nights, there’s plenty of fun to look forward to this spooky season. Whether you like tricks or treats, each attraction has something for everyone. (This includes the ghosts, ghouls, and supernatural alike.)
